Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma buy 5 acre land for Rs 40 crore in Alibaug just four years after acquiring 8 acre land for Rs 19 crore: report

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have recently made a major real estate investment in Alibaug. The celebrity couple has acquired over five acres of land for Rs 37.86 crore in Zira Village, located close to Awas Beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. According to property analytics firm CRE Matrix, the couple purchased two adjoining land parcels in the same area. One plot measures approximately 14,740 square metres, while the second spans 6,270 square metres. Together, the combined land area comes to 21,010 square metres, or roughly 5.2 acres.

As per registration documents, in addition to the transaction value of Rs 37.86 crore, Anushka and Virat paid stamp duty amounting to Rs 2.27 crore. They also paid an additional Rs 30,000 as registration fees to complete the deal. The seller in the transaction is Sonali Amit Rajput, with Samira Land Assets Private Limited acting as the confirming party.

This marks the couple’s second major investment in Alibaug. Around four years ago, they had purchased an eight-acre land parcel in the region for approximately Rs 19 crore. A luxury villa has since been constructed on that property, featuring high-end amenities such as a temperature-controlled swimming pool, a bespoke kitchen, multiple bathrooms, a jacuzzi, landscaped gardens, covered parking and staff quarters.

In 2024, the couple also made headlines for leasing out 12 office spaces spanning a total of 18,430 square feet at the Reach Comercia corporate tower in Sector 68, Gurugram. The properties were leased to Mynd Integrated Solutions at a monthly rental of around Rs 8.85 lakh, translating to an annual rental income of approximately Rs 1.27 crore. The lease agreement has been executed for a tenure of nine years.

According to multiple reports, the estimated combined net worth of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli exceeds Rs 1,250 crore.
