Shailesh, Nitin sparkle in UB Engg win

In reply, U B batsmen got past the total conceding five wickets with Nitin Gangawani doing the bulk of the scoring and ended up with a half century. Assisting him at the other end was Ajit Chavan who score 26 runs. Shailesh Joshi and Gajanan Hegnde chipped in with 23 runs apiece.

In another tie, R Anwar scored a brilliant unbeaten 132 but his efforts went in vain as PCH went down to State Bank of India (SBI) by six wickets in a high-scoring tie.

PCH aided by Anwar piled up 216 for 9 from their allotted overs with all-rounder K Fakhi bringing up the best spell for the bankmen claiming 3/25. In reply, SBI rattled up the required runs in the 32nd over. The mainstay of the innings was an equally sound knock of 85 from Fakhi, while Sunil Gudge (32), U Harshe (24) came up with useful contributions.
