PANCHKULA, April 12: As many as seven proclaimed offenders, some wanted since 1983, have been apprehended by special teams of the Panchkula Police from different parts of the state.

The police said that Salda Ram, a resident of Chandimandir, had been booked in October 1983 on charges of house trespass, mischief by fire or explosives with intent to destroy and criminal intimidation. Tarsem Lal, another Chandimandir resident, had been booked in April 1990 on charges of theft.Cases were registered against three Ropar residents 8211; Thakur Singh, Seva Singh and Balwinder Singh 8211; under the Arms Act in 1990, while another Ropar resident, Kulwant Singh, had been booked in 1984 for theft.

A resident of Fatehgarh district, Gurdarshan Singh, had been charged in July 1997 for criminal breach of trust, cheating and forgery.
