CHANDIGARH, July 21: International companies are looking for computer application solution providers based in the city. This was stated by Sanjiv Mathur, product manager, Microsoft, while speaking at a seminar on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) organised at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

Later, Mathur stated that they were interested on developers who build applications using Microsoft server technologies. New applications emerging out of data warehousing and Intranet are the focus area. He mentioned Punjab and Delhi as the next computer savvy states after Tamil Nadu.

"Unfortunately, the computer applications are unstructured," he remarked. The conference had a presentation on "ERP" by Ramco Systems and on "Information technology as business enabler" by PUNCOM. Microsoft made a presentation on "Integrating the Enterprise with Microsoft Technologies".
