When it comes to raising their voice for their 8220;beloved leader8221;, Bahujan Samaj Party BSP members just don8217;t care when, or where. And so, it was during the Prime Minister8217;s all-party meeting to discuss the security scenario after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Forget Pakistan, the BSP was more worried about getting extra cover for UP CM Mayawati, who is perceived to be under threat from the Lashkar-e-Toiba LeT. But apparently, there is more to this than just security. It8217;s also to do with the 8216;status8217; of having more than two security cars allowed for her outside UP. The BSP wants the Centre to let her retain the long and cumbersome motorcade that she uses in her home state. Not having quite got their way so far, the UP Government has now claimed to have received another LeT threat against the CM. But the Centre is not budging8212;for now, the only Chief Minister on their security radar is Narendra Modi.
