MUMBAI, JAN 15: The hectic excitement that has been building up this last fortnight will culminate today with a mega-show at the Andheri Sports Complex, the venue for the 5th Annual Screen-Videocon Awards.

The foremost awards’ nite honouring artistes and technicians, of Hindi cinema and television, will witness a tough competition for the golden statuette in almost all the categories. The list of nominees reads almost like Mumbai cinema’s hall of fame: Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Govinda, Kajol, Manisha Koirala, Naseeruddin Shah, Rani Mukherjee and Shah Rukh Khan to Karan Johar, Ram Gopal Varma, A R Rahman, Anu Malik, Jatin-Lalit, Farah Khan, Binod Pradhan and Santosh Sivan, to name but a few.

In addition to the nail-biting excitement about the awards themselves, Screen has also put together a fantastic show dedicated to romance on celluloid. The show will comprise, among others, performances by stars like Rekha, Govinda, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, A R Rahman and, the unexpected discoveries of 1998,the entire Satya team. In case you miss the show tonight, you can watch this incredible evening of stars in style on Sunday, at 9.30 pm on DD-I.
