Scooter-borne men snatch chain

CHANDIGARH, April 21: In the second snatching incident in two days in Sector 33, two scooter-borne men snatched a chain worn by a woman here today.

Police sources said that Sector 46 resident Naresh Saini and her daughter were going to Sector 33 on a rickshaw around 4 p.m. when a scooter stopped right next to the rickshaw. One of the men pounced on the woman, grappled her chain and climbed back onto the scooter before speeding away.

Police sources said that according to the complainant, the two had covered their face with a cloth. The police have registered a case of snatching and begun investigations.
