NEW DELHI, June 25: Displaying amazing concentration, Sania Mirza Andhra Pradesh clinched a golden double in the Adidas Junior Masters tennis tournament here today at DTA courts. She beat Ankita Bhambri for the title in the girls under-14 section while Nandita Chandrashekhar was her victim in the under-16 final.

Vinod Sewa West Bengal upset the applecart of the boys under-16 top seed Amanjot Singh Chandigarh, clinching the final 7-6, 6-0. In the boys under-14, unseeded Vikrant Sane won the title, beating second-seeded R Arun Prakash 7-5, 6-3.

Amanjot was totally off colour today. He lost the first set in a tie-break, 7-6 1-5. His backhand was very poor and his serve was twice broken in the first set. In the second set Amanjot was at his worse and couldn8217;t even win a game. He lost it 0-6. But, Sewa played some good volleys and won the match. 8220;I played very well today. Amanjot was playing lose shots and I took advantage of it. I was not under pressure today. This is my first win over him,8221; said Vinod Sewa. In the girls under-14 section, Sania ousted sixth seed Ankita Bhambri easily in straight sets . In under-16, she defeated second seed Nandita Chandrashekhar of Tamil Nadu 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Nandita played well in the first set and won it 6-4. But Sania came back and played some good backhand strokes, winning the set 7-5. In the third set too she played some good passing shots and broke Nandita8217;s serve twice to win the match.

Boys under-16: Vinod Sewa 3 bt Amanjot Singh 1 7-6, 6-0. Boys under-14: Vikrant Sane bt R Arun Prakash 2 7-5, 6-3.
Girls under-16: Sania Mirza 4 bt Nandita Chandrashekhar 2 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
Girls under-14: Sania Mirza 1 bt Ankita Bhambri 6 6-4, 6-2.
