His injury might have given a big scare to the Indian Hockey Federation and coach Joaquim Carvalho, but now they can breathe easy as drag flicker Sandeep Singh8217;s chance of re-joining the national camp in Bangalore, for the Asia Cup in Chennai, seems to look good.

8220;I came to Delhi yesterday to see a doctor and he said my injury was not serious. It8217;s just a muscle pull in the back and not a fracture as we had suspected earlier. It is minor, nothing to worry about,8221; Sandeep told The Indian Express from his home in Shahbad.

Sandeep had earlier injured his back and was then advised by Carvalho and the federation to have it checked, as he had just returned after recovering from a the freak accident in a train when he got accidentally shot at.

He said that he was under medication and had been advised rest for a couple of days before starting to play again. Sandeep also said he would consult coach Carvalho and update him about his injury before he returns to Bangalore.
