MUMBAI, SEPT 24: A brace by Sachin Anchan was the highlight of St Joseph8217;s, Colaba, 4-0 victory over St Thomas, Goregaon in the under-12 Division III play-off tie of the MSSA-Colgate Inter-School football tournament at the MSSA-Castrol Schools Sports Centre ground, Azad Maidan, today.

In the other games of the same competition, St Francis D8217;Assisi beat St Pius through a goal by Anuj Kiro; Sacred Heart beat Holy Family B 1-0, Ashley Fernandes was the scorer and a lone goal by Aditya Giri turned out to be the match-winner for Apeejay, Nerul against St Xavier8217;s, Naigaon.

Runal, Asmita best

Runal Vatulkar ANZA, Byculla and Asmita Kanukale Shardashram, Dadar emerged supreme in the boys and girls8217; senior sections of the MSSA-Colgate Inter-School carrom tournament at the Dr Antonio da Silva High School, Dadar, today.

RESULTS

Boys seniors: 1 Runal Vatulkar ANZA, 2 Jitendra Jadhav Sir JJ Fort, 3 Vivek Sawant ANZA. Juniors: 1 Pravin Bagde ANZA, 2 Roshan Kajrokar Shardashram English, 3 Sagar Kajrolkar IES Raja Shivaji.

Girls seniors: 1 Asmita Janukale Shardashram, 2 Federal Tasneem Bai Avaibai, Bandra, 3 Khushnaz Wadiwalla Bai Avaibai. Juniors: 1 Netra Chunekar Sahyadri, Bhandup, 2 Ketaki Hardikar New English, Bandra, 3 Beverley Lobo Convent Girls, Prabhadevi.
