MUMBAI, JAN 24: Running flame, the winner of the first Classic of the current season, claimed the Kingfisher Indian Oaks, better known as the Fillies Derby in the most impressive manner on Sunday at Mahalakshmi.The offspring of Steinbeck-Stomata from Mehra Stud, hailing from the yard of Padmanabhan, responded magnificently to jockey R Hughes , mercilessly humbling rivals , which included favourite Priceless Asset who finished third behind Super White.

Only two favourites obliged in the lengthy card of 10 events. Apprentice TS Chouhan was at his best and ended the day with a treble. Trainer Imtiaz Sait claimed a double.

Continual injured
