Hit, hit,hurray

What with film successes being cut down to a bare minimum, you have to look at an invite twice to believe it announces a party held for the success of one. Dr D Ramanaidu8217;s Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain was a hit, and he announced it to the whole world at a small, but significant bash at the Holiday Inn. The tendency of a film unit to get familial carried on much after this flick was through, it seemed. Anil Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher and Ramanaidu himself were busy chatting up their guests and making them feel welcome, even as a stunning Sridevi walked in with a tired-looking Boney Kapoor. Kajol came and ran off, much like the hounds of Hades were after her. The entire Kapoor khandan was present, as was even the smallest person who was part of the film, showing their solidarity and support. Good show.

Party time

Valentine8217;s day seems to give people excuses to promote brands. Take IDV8217;s Black and White whiskey, for instance. They hosted something called Mime TimeValentine at The Club, Andheri, this Sunday. Sure, there was music and a lot of games throughout the evening in keeping with the Bamp;W theme you couldn8217;t beat the smart T-shirts they were giving away as prizes, but the audience seemed to be a little8230; shall we say jilted? The poor DJ had a tough time getting them to say 8220;yes8221; to his question 8220;are you havin8217; a good time?8221;

However, the prize for the liveliest person would have to go to Dodo Bhujwala dressed up as a mime trying to get people on the dance floor. Three cheers for the blonde pony-tailed man. Hic!
