MUMBAI, May 17: Ritesh Shah had things his own way when he beat V Jaisingh 108-84, 100-92, 111-83, 88-87 and claimed the title in the Sushil R Ruia Open handicap snooker tournament, sponsored by Selvel and Consultant, at the Matharpacady Club, Mazgaon, yesterday.

In the first frame it was a see-saw battle which Jaisingh should have won but he missed a couple of easy shots and lost the first frame.The second frame was won by Ritesh Shah on the pink ball.

In the third frame, Shah made a break of 39 and won with ease.

In the fourth frame, Jaisingh was leading by 20 points till the second last red, after that Shah slowly but steadily clawed back with a small break till the pink ball. On the black ball Jaisingh missed a sitter pot in the centre pocket before bowing out.

Sanjay Sawant, a one-time champion in this tournament, was the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes.
