Redemption time for Mohun Bagan

CALCUTTA, MARCH 14: Mohun Bagan face Jagatjit Cotton Textile Mills of Phagwara in a National Football League final phase match at the Salt Lake Stadium tomorrow. Bagan have six points from seven games while JCT, two points ahead, are placed fourth in the table. Tomorrow8217;s match could see places being interchanged, if Bagan can get their act together.

Mohun Bagan are the costliest side in the league, with a high profile coach in PK Banerjee. Their fortunes have, however, taken a beating so far. with just one win in the final phase. At Calcutta, they have lost to East Bengal and have held Churchill to a draw. JCT, on the other hand, started their final leg with a 5-0 rout of Churchill Brothers at this venue.

PK Banerjee is known for his experimentations, though not all of them turn out to be successful. With Hemanta Dora still unfit, Banerjee has the option of using either Sandip Nandi or Dinesh Nair under the bar. In defence, Samuel Omollo will have Debjit Ghosh, miss the last match with two bookings.Chima Okerie, yet to play in any of the final leg games, continues to be on the injured list.
