CHANDIGARH, June 14: Rajiv Bhardwaj8217;s consistent performance enabled him to get the better of Anil Sharma in three well contested frames in the handicap snooker event in the YMCA Open Billiards and Snooker tournament being played at YMCA premises in Sector 11. Rajiv beat Anil 61-56, 52-80, 62-24 to move into the next round.

Anil with fine potting set up a fast pace for his rival. But Rajiv kept his cool and matched in-form Anil and eventually went on to win the frame on a black ball 61-56.

Anil, however, made best use of the openings in the second frame and pocketed the second frame with a score of 80-52. But Rajiv bounced in the decider and gave a good account of his talent to win the frame and the contest 62-24.

Ashish Tuli also kept his winning streak intact by demolishing Kulwinder in straight frames 92-32, 65-46 to enter into the semifinal stage.

In the handicap billiard, Shashi Karan beat BK Arora 251-248 while in another match Sanjay Kaushal outplayed Amit Swamy 338-318.
