Rain dampens Indian hopes

DEVENTER HOLLAND, July 30: Heavy rain ruled out any play on the second day of the three-day cricket tour opener between India quot;Aquot; and Denmark here yesterday.

The heavy downpour which halted the match into the post lunch session on the first day continued to deny any action, resembling the travails of the quot;Aquot; team tour of Pakistan earlier this year.

Denmark were reeling at 41 for five after 35.4 overs when rain halted play on the opening day.

Coach Krishnamachari Srikkanth was a disappointed man as the team could not drive home the advantage and begin with a win.
