
Mandya, March 29: Veteran setter TB Ravindra came up with a showing that spoke of his skills, shrewdness and game sense by leading hosts Karnataka to a surprisingly lopsided 25-21, 25-12, 25-15 win against fancied Indian Railways in a Group I match of the third National Volleyball league today.Ravindra quickly read the Railways8217; reputed blocking pattern and planned the attacks of his side with suavity. Karnataka cut loose from a position of 5-all, relying on the blocks of Damodar and the spikes of Lakshminarayan and Sreeshekar. Railways came up with good rearguard action through their hard-working skipper Jeyachandran, but on a day Karnataka had decided to play their hearts out, the former international8217;s efforts proved futile.
