Jaipur, March 17: Following the last night defeat of holders Bihar, last year8217;s runners-up Punjab too suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Services in the Pool A league encounter in the 49th Senior National Basketball Championships here this morning.

Indian Railways, who had stunned champions Bihar, recorded their second successive win by outclassing West Bengal 90-65.

Delhi men, who had lost to Services yesterday, suffered their second successive defeat this morning, 53-78 to Maharashtra in Pool B. Unsettled in the first session, Maharashtra lads came into their element in the second session and pressed hard with occasional fast breaks. Later, in the evening, Maharashtra lost to Punjab 60-82.

Maharashtra eves, runner-up last year, suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Madhya Pradesh.
