Inflation touches 23-week high
NEW DELHI: The inflation rate maintained its upward momentum for the sixth consecutive week to touch 3.12 per cent for the week ended November 13, despite a marginal fall in the wholesale price index. The last time inflation was over three per cent was 23 weeks before on June five this year at 3.53 per cent.

SRINAGAR: Militants attacked a senior politician8217;s heavily-guarded house killing him and his two bodyguards, and fired rockets at an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir Sunday, officials said. A group of 25 armed militants stormed the house of Awami League vice president Mohammad Anwar Sheikh at Bandipora, killing him.
