Puri, Sethi elected

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 20: Former national chief coach TPS PURI and MS Sethi were elected unanimously general secretary and president of the Chandigarh Badminton Association in the general body meeting of the CBA held here today.

Former secretary and founder member of CBA, DK Mukerjee was nominated chairman of the CBA. Mukherjee was honoured on the occasion for his selfless contribution in promoting badminton. It was he who was responsible for getting direct affiliation to the Chandigarh Badminton Association from the Badminton Association of India. The other members of the CBA elected were: Subhash Nagpal and BD Gandhi vice-presidents; Virender Mehta treasurer and Surinder Mahajan technical advisor.
