The police said Sachin and his friends Vijaykumar Patil and Basu Gavane were riding the M-80 when the mishap took place. Patil and Gavane were also injured in the accident. Daund police have filed a case against Patil, who was riding the M-80.

A 40-year-old unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run mishap near Jyoti Dhaba at Wadgaon Maval on Mumbai-Pune road. The police said he was walking down the highway when a vehicle hit him and sped away.

Youth murdered
A 35-year-old youth was found murdered near Baramati town on Monday. His identity could not be ascertained till Tuesday evening. Baramati police said the body was stuffed in a gunny bag before being dumped in a well in Bankar Vasti area. A post-mortem at government hospital in Baramati revealed that the youth died due to strangulation.

The identities of the killers could not be tracked till Tuesday evening. The motives behind the murder were also not known.
