
PUNE, March 3: The Judicial Magistrate First Class of Wadgaon Maval court, A M Kshatriya, yesterday issued process against actor-lyricist Javed Jafferi and two others after a scrap dealer from Dehu Road filed a petition objecting to the alleged use of obscenities in the title song of Bollywood film Bombay Boys.
Scrap dealer Shakil R Shaikh had filed the petition on January 27 and prayed that the sell of audio cassettes of Bombay Boys should be banned. Lyricists Javed Jafferi and Kiran Kotrial as well as Mumbai-based B M G Crescendo India Pvt Ltd8217;s manager Anil Prabhu were made respondents in the petition.
The petition was admitted and the Judicial Magistrate First Class ordered to issue processes against the respondents after the preliminary hearings held on Monday. Shakil Shaikh was represented by S R Goyal during the preliminary hearing.
The petitioner said he purchased an audio cassette of the film on January 24 and was shocked to hear the obscenities used in the title song of the movie. While Jafferi and Kotrial had penned the song, Prabhu8217;s B M G Crescendo India Pvt Ltd had released the audio cassette of the movie, he added.
