PUNE, May 9: The Divisional Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal has ordered an inquiry into the demands and charges levelled by members of the Bharatiya Bahujan Va Alpsankhyak Shikshak Mandal BBSM against the Pune Vidyarthi Griha PVG, even as BBSM members threatened to immolate themselves if their demands were not met today.

The BBSM members had threatened to self-immolate if their demands were not heard by Friday afternoon. The Bundgarden police immediately swooped down on the agitators and confiscated the kerosene and petrol that the members had brought with them.

Later, a meeting was held between the office bearers of the PVG and the BBSM members and it was agreed that the charges would be looked into. The BBSM has alleged that that the reserved category teachers were being unfairly treated and the appointment of 19 teachers was being withheld.
