PCA under IT scanner

The Punjab Cricket Association,already mired in several controversies related to alleged illegal transfer of land and non-payment of security charges,was under scanner from the Income Tax department on Thursday. The search is expected to continue overnight.

A team of IT sleuths,led by Joint commissioner Manjeet Singh,reached the PCA stadium in Mohali around 1 pm and prohibited all entry and exit.

“We have just commenced with the survey. It would be too early to say anything about the details of unaccounted money,if there is any. We will be able to come up with some information tomorrow only,” a senior Income Tax officer said.
