Kerry8217;s daughter busted for drunk-driving

John Kerry's daughter was arrested after being stopped on suspicion of drunk-driving.

The daughter of former US presidential candidate John Kerry was arrested early on Friday after being stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs,police said.

Alexandra Kerry,36,a film producer and director,was detained shortly after midnight,Los Angeles Police Department officer Bruce Borihanh said. She was later released after posting 5,000-dollars bail,he added.

TMZ.com reported that Kerry was arrested by officers after she allegedly 8220;violated a traffic law which got their attention. They then conducted a field sobriety test and it appeared she was under the influence of an intoxicant.8221;

Kerry,whose Democratic Senator father lost the 2004 election to George W Bush,wrote and directed a short film in 2004 and had a bit part role in David Mamet8217;s 2004 thriller Spartan.
