Determined to ensure that the Monaco show does not remain just a flash in the pan,Force India will ring in some more aero updates for Sundays Turkish Grand Prix,Vijay Mallya said. Mallya, the team principal, said he was not expecting an overnight change in fortune in terms of scoring the outfits first F1 points that eluded them in Monaco. At the same time,Mallya asserted he wants the team to continue the good work. The result has had a great motivation on the team and the drivers we just need that little bit more, Mallya said, referring to Giancarlo Fisichellas ninth-place finish in Monaco. Mallya said for Turkey, both the VJM02 cars would receive a tuck here and nip there. We have some new development items coming through, such as new front wheel spinners and a small modification for the rear suspension. Plus, the rear wing we ran in Monaco will also undergo some slight changes to suit the downforce level in Istanbul, he said. However the main thrust of the upgrades will come through in Silverstone,so our aim for Turkey should be to keep the momentum we picked up in Monaco going and consolidate our form rather than wholesale improvements, Mallya said.
