In what appears to be the world8217;s first divorce by Facebook,a husband has dumped his wife with an online message which he posted on the social utility portal that is meant to connect people.
8220;Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady8221;,the online message on 8216;Facebook8217; read.
Emma,a 35-year-old conference organiser, has claimed that she had no idea he even wanted a divorce, and only found out when a friend, who read the post on the social networking website, rang to console her.
To make matters worse, she discovered someone else had commented on the site that her husband was 8220;better off out of it8221;,the 8216;Daily Mail8217; reported.
In fact,Emma got too hurt as the end of her marriage had been plastered across the Internet, allegedly before her husband had even informed her of his decision to end their relationship.
8220;The first I knew about it was when I received a phone call at work from my best friend, who lives in Denmark. She asked me if I was okay because of what Neil had put on Facebook: 8216;Neil Brady has ended his marriage to Emma Brady8217;.
8220;I was shell-shocked. I have had people who I haven8217;t spoken to for years contacting me asking what is going on. I only joined Facebook as the girls at work said it8217;s good fun.
8220;What upset me the most was not the fact that Neil had written he had ended his marriage, but the comment from a girl in Canada who said: 8216;You are better off out of it8217;. It hurt me that he had been speaking to someone else about it,8221; she said.
The 8216;Facebook8217; divorce emerged as Brady,a 39-year-old IT consultant, was brought to British court for assaulting his wife who he claimed was dating another person.
