Ahead of Fridays final Test,Michael Clarke spoke about the chances of him overcoming his back injury to make the team, the changes in combination brought about by Shane Watsons return and the Kotla track.
On Delhi test
We will look to sign off with a win. If we play to our potential,I have no doubt that we can win this Test match. We will look to get a result in our favour. We know the conditions well,we know the opposition and we know the areas where we need to improve. So,we would like to leave home winning the last Test.
On his fitness
At this stage there is still doubt of me being fit to play tomorrow but Ive been given every opportunity. Ill have plenty of treatment again today. I still have 24 hours, and Ill take the call in the morning. Its the same bulging disc issue Ive battled on and off since I was 17. I have to make sure that Ill remain injury-free for the next assignment. I havent missed a Test through injury since my debut in 2004 and Ill do everything to keep it that way ahead of Delhi.
On team composition
We would announce the playing XI tomorrow. Shane Watson is a good player. He is someone we always love to have in our team. So,hopefully he can perform well and help us win the last Test. Mitchell Johnson is bowling well in the nets,he is bowling really fast. We play only one wicketkeeper in the team. Obviously, they both can bat well. If Wade is fit,I am pretty sure he will be our preferred choice. It all depends on what is best for the team. We need to get the combination right.
