SATARA, Sept 17: The State CID sleuths today arrested two more youths in connection with the Sharad Levhe killing and moved the sessions court to seek police custody for former BJP minister Udayanraje Bhosale, the main accused in the case.

The youths arrested today would be produced in the court tomorrow, Additional Director General of Police CID Crime M N Singh told The Indian Express this evening.

Seven persons have been arrested so far for their alleged role in the murder of NCP leader Sharad Levhe early last Saturday. Some weapons have also been recovered.

The revision application will come up for hearing on Tuesday, two days before the magisterial custody for Udayanraje ends, district government pleader Pratap Pawar told media persons.

The CID officials have also picked up for questioning some 20 persons, including a few local political activists, suspected to be accompanying Udayanraje when Levhe was attacked.

Udayanraje, the 13th descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji, is still at an intensive care unit at the Satara Civil Hospital where he was taken when he complained of chest pain hours after his arrest on Saturday morning. Udayanraje, remanded in magisterial custody till September 23, has not moved any bail application so far.

Meanwhile, confusion remained over the former minister being inspected by a panel of expert doctors. Chief Judicial Magistrate Kamal Vadgaonkar had instructed the Civil Surgeon on Tuesday last to submit a report by a panel of experts on Udayan8217;s health. No information was however available about the civil surgeon complying with the court8217;s orders.
