August 19: Steve Pinto8217;s solitary strike in the opening minute helped Fatima School to win their inaugural Colgate-Palmolive sponsored Inter-Schools under-12 Division II C football league match against St Stanislaus, Bandra the MSSA-Castrol Azad Maidan today.

Pinto dispossessed a Stanislaus defender from the top of the box and fired in a volley immediately to find the target.

Though Stanislaus increased the pressure and made amny inroads into the Fatima territory, they failed to score.

In another under-12 match, Victoria got past Cathedral A 2-0 at the same venue. Alan Fernandes bulged the net in the 17th minute to put Victoria ahead.

Remedios Fernandes sealed the victory for Victoria deep in the second-half as he tapped the ball in off a Fernandes pass.
