PCMC official while caught accepting bribe

PUNE, Feb 22: An engineering works assistant, Agelu Setu Laxman working in the sewerage department of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, was recently arrested red-handed by the sleuths of the anti-corruption bureau ACB for accepting a bribe of Rs 200 from a plumber contractor.

The contractor needed a completion certificate for the work that he had finished for which Laxman allegedly demanded an amount of Rs 200. The contractor informed the anti-corruption bureau which laid a trap at the corporation building at around 6 p.m. Laxman was arrested when he accepted the amount from the contractor.
