
LUDHIANA, June 24: The Save Universities Association of India SUAI has charged the PAU authorities with shielding the culprits of the land scam who had allegedly transferred over four acres of the university8217;s prime land to a local business house through an alleged shady transaction.
General secretary of the SUAI N.S. Poonia said here today that the inquiry conducted by Financial Commissioner Development of Punjab R.N.Gupta had established that prime land of the university had been transferred to the business firm in a shady deal 8220;in connivance with the university authorities.8221; Gupta had, therefore, recommended that the CBI be entrusted with further probe so that it could establish criminal liability of persons involved in the deal.
