Jan 28: Former Thomas Cupper Partho Ganguly ended Hubert Miranda8217;s uninterrupted three-year run in the Veteran National Badminton Championship at Bombay Gymkhana today.

Partho, in his first year as a veteran, outlasted the 51-year-old from Reserve Bank in a 50-minute three-game drainer to annex the men singles title.

Partho completed a double when, pairing with fellow Thomas Cupper Pradeep Gandhe, he claimed the men8217;s doubles 45 title.

Men singles 45: Partho Ganguly bt Hubert Miranda 15-10 12-15 15-5. Doubles 45: Partho Ganguly amp; Pradeep Gandhe bt Hubert Miranda amp; Vispi Modi 15-10 15-0. Doubles 50: Hubert Miranda amp; Vispi Modi bt Anil Pradhan amp; Gopal Moorjani 13-15 15-6 15-6.

Women Doubles 35: Padmini Desai amp; Varsha Shah bt Manjusha Sahasrabudhe amp; Rajashree Bhave 15-9 15-13.
