Parcel bombs rock AP cities

HYDERABAD, Dec 18: Six persons were injured in a spree of parcel bomb explosions that occured at various places in the twin cities today. Two persons each were injured in the blasts at Chikkadpally, Habeebnagar and Chilkalguda localities.

Powerful devices kept in postal parcels exploded after they were delivered to the addressees, according to police. The explosions in the city caused quite a scare among the public, occuring in the wake of one that took place yesterday in the crowded Hanamkonda chowrastha in Warangal town, leaving two people injured.

According to police, four parcels were booked from Himayatnagar post office addressed to different persons residing in Chikkadpally, Chilkalguda, Habeebnagar and Yousufguda.

Following explosions at three of the places, the police acted swiftly and detected a parcel bomb sent for Chinna Srisailam Yadav at a post office in Yousufguda.
