DUBAI, FEB 10: India8217;s Leander Paes fell at the first hurdle when he lost in straight sets to Johan van Herck of Belgium in the Dubai Open ATP tennis tournament yesterday.

Paes went down 4-6, 3-6 to the Belgian.

Paes and partner Mahesh Bhupathi, the defending champions in doubles, meet Pablo Albano and Daniel Orsanic in the first round today.
