
PANCHKULA, January 22: Two orientation courses were conducted for opinion leaders and grassroot volunteers under the campaign on Global March Against Child Labour. The courses were organised by Family Planning Association of India.
About 100 women participated in the courses held in Devi Nagar village and Azad Colony.
The association also proposed to appoint honorary teachers at both the slums to teach children below the age of five years. Thirty-five women also took an oath to send their children to school.
A rally by school children, teachers, elected representatives and grassroot volunteers will be organised on January 26.
