Onions worth stealing!

CHANDIGARH, Nov 2: Suspected burglars reportedly struck at the house of a Sector 23 resident and took away, among other valuables, two and a half kilo onions and 12 kg desi ghee. The police have registered a case.

Chander Singh, a resident of Sector 23, complained in writing to the Sector 17 police that his house was burgled some time on Saturday night while he was away from home.

The list of articles he reported stolen include Rs 1,500, a wrist watch, 12 kg ghee, two and a half kilos of onions and a pack of tea leaves. The police have registered a case of burglary under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and begun investigations.
