CHANDIGAH, Oct 21: One-sided contests were witnessed in basketball event in the girls group on the second day of the Chandigarh State Inter-School competition at the Shivalik Public School in Sector 41, today.
Results: Basketball: U-14: GMHS-26, 19 (Simran 6, Navneet 6) bt GMSSS-19, 0. U-17: SH-26 (12 (Manik 4, Mehak 4) bt SGHS-38, 0; GMHS-26, 23 (Pushpa 14) bt SNS-22, 0. U-19: BV-27, 23 (Rajita 10, Manisha 6, Alpit 7) bt GMSS-16, 8. Volleyball: U-14: GMHS-26 bt MMS-21, 2-0; GSSS-8 bt GHS-32, 2-0. U-17: GHS-32 bt SGGS-35, 2-0. GSSS-8 bt GMHS-26, 3-0. U-19: SD-32 bt GGSS-23, 2-0; SGGS-35 bt GMSS-33, 2-0; GGSS-18 bt DS-21, 2-0. Kho-kho: U-17: GHS-32 bt GHS-35 by one turn and 10 points. Cricket meet
Haryana Warehousing Corporation will play Haryana Financial Corporation in the opening match of the Inter-Corporation league cricket tournament which will commence here from October 23, at the Sector 16 Cricket Stadium.

Taekwondo tourney
The Chandigarh State Open Taekwondo championship will be held on October 23 and 24, at the Sector 10 Skating Rink.

B’ball championship
The Chandigarh Basketball Association (CBA) will organise sub-junior state championship in boys and girls group from October 24 to 27, at the DAV Senior Secondary School-8. Players born on or before January 1, 1986 are eligible to take part in the meet. Entry close on October 23, with KS Bharti (basketball coach), at Sector 7 Sports Complex.

Judo meet today
The Chandigarh State judo championships in junior and sub-junior categories will commence here from tomorrow at Sri Harkishan Public School in Sector 38. Weighing-in will begin at 12 noon while bouts would start at 3 p.m.
