Nurses court arrest

CHANDIGARH, July 15: Nearly 200 nurses, all members of the Nursing Staff Association, Haryana, courted arrested by flouting prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Cr PC, here, this afternoon.

Today8217;s arrests marked the beginning of a 8220;jail-bharo andolan8221; by the nurses who have been agitating for the past one and a half months, general secretary of the association, Suman Yadav said.

Their demands include better pay and additional allowances for nurses in the state.
