As the camera pans to the kitchen, the mother signs each dish, and the son translates for viewers
A small cloud kitchen in Punjab’s Mohali has quietly captured the internet’s attention, not through flashy marketing or celebrity backing, but through a story of resilience and quiet strength. Run by a young deaf and mute couple, the home-based food venture has found its storyteller in their son, whose calm, confident explanations have touched thousands online.
The video, now widely shared on social media, shows the family going about their everyday routine. While the parents work in silence, the little boy becomes the bridge between their world and the audience. The post on X reads: “How beautiful is this. A deaf and mute couple running a cloud kitchen in Mohali, while their son explains every dish with pride. Life has been hard, yet they still smile. Some people inspire without words.” What began as a local post soon travelled far beyond the Tricity, resonating with viewers across the country.

As the camera moves to the kitchen, his mother explains each dish using hand gestures. Pointing to a pan, she signs what she has cooked, and her son immediately translates it for viewers: “This is potato, carrot, and peas”. Without hesitation, he continues, explaining another dish as black chickpeas, followed by rice and roti.

The internet responded with warmth and admiration. A user wrote, “Man, when I see this kind of stuff, it motivates me. People are happy with all they have and fighting their battles. If they can, then we can as well.”
Another user commented, “Such people are the ones that really deserve to succeed at everything they do as they didn’t let their challenges break their relentless courage and determination, and didn’t keep throwing a pity party or begin asking for mercy from people around them. They kept going despite everything. Such people should indeed be our role models and inspiration to never lose hope.”
A third person added, “Next time I visit tricity, I will make sure to order from them at least 1 meal of the day.”
