Three days after the Mumbai blasts, the National Security Guard experts have identified the explosive as belonging to the PETN Pentaerythritol Tetra Nitrate, RDX, Nitroglycerine and dynamite series. This conclusion is based on field kit tests with the site samples now being sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory. Five to six kilograms of explosive was used in each of the blasts, said the National Bomb Data Centre team, which submitted its report to the Home Ministry on Wednesday.
