Indonesia Masters 2026: Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu target improvement with a favourable draw- Where to watch

Indian shuttlers will look to shrug off the disappointment of India Open Super 750 last week and try to improve at the Indonesia Masters Super 500.

After a poor show at the India Open Super 750 event last week, the Indian shuttlers will be in action at the Indonesia Masters Super 500 tournament starting tomorrow in Jakarta. The Indian contingent had a poor show with PV Sindhu exiting in first round, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty losing in round of 16, and Lakshya Sen ending his campaign in quarterfinals.

India will have sizeable representation at the Indonesia Masters with Lakshya, HS Prannoy, Ayush Shetty, Kidambi Srikanth, and Kiran George in the men’s singles. PV Sindhu will be along side Tanvi Sharma and Malvika Bansod in women’s singles main draw while Anmol Kharb, Tasnim Mir, Isharani Baruah and Aakarshi Kashyap will feature in the qualifying draw.

Both Indian doubles pair Satwik/Chirag and Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopichand have withdrawn from the tournament. Hariharan Amsakarunana and MR Arjun will represent India in the men’s doubles.

Sindhu and Lakshya will have a good chance to go deep in the tournament due to the favourable draw and won’t face any seeded players before the quarterfinals. Seventh-seed Lakshya will face Wang Tzu Wei in the first round, Prannoy will take on Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia, Ayush will up against local boy Alwi Farhan while Srikanth will face Koki Watanabe of Japan.

Sindhu will start her campaign against Manami Suizu of Japan while Tanvi Sharma will face fourth seed Tomoka Miyazaki. Tanvi troubled world number 2 Wang Zhi Yi last week in Delhi and have trained alongside Sindhu. She will take a lot of heart from her show at the India Open and look to put out another strong show against higher ranked opponent.
