NOVEMBER 26: The Nagpada Neighbourhood House (NNH) team, a mixture of experience and youthful talent, knocked out Hoopers in the men’s section at the 12th Bombay YMCA basketball tournament, organised by the Ghatkopar YMCA and sponsored by Kanara Engineering.

NNH, known for their aggressive brand of basketball, took an early lead and never relaxed their hold on the game. They were well-served by veteran Shaikh Rashid and Junior State player Matin Shaikh who sank in four three-pointers on their way to a 75-59 win. For Hoopers, veteran P Ramaswamy played well under the boards.

In the mini girls’ section, last year’s runners-up Indian Gymkhana overcame a stiff challenge from Agradneya VS B’ 16-12 to enter the semi-finals.
