HYDERABAD, June 12: Friday prayers at the historic Mecca Masjid in the Old City of Hyderabad passed off peacefully today even as heavy security arrangements were made to prevent any untoward incidents.Normalcy returned to the Old City on Tuesday and there were no fresh incidents of violence since then enabling the authorities to relax curfew from dawn to dusk.Perturbed by the appearance of fresh pamphlets lampooning the religious sentiments of one community in parts of the new city since yesterday, police made elaborate security arrangements at different places of worship.
