Muslims support Sharma in city

CHANDIGARH, Sept 3: The Bharatiya Janata Party8217;s minorities8217; cell secretary Sahibzada Salim Khan has claimed that the Muslim community is favouring the party, wanting Vajpayee as the Prime Minister.

Addressing a press conference here today, Khan said the 55,00 Muslim community in Chandigarh is committed to support K L Sharma.

He said they supported Vajpayee as he had done a lot for muslims 8211; renovation grant of Rs 26 crore for the Ajmer dargah and increase in government subsidy for the Muslims.
