To provide better services to Parsis travelling to Sanjan every year, the Western Railway has decided to halt the Aring;iexcl;Gujarat Express and Flying Ranee at Sanjan for two minutes in both directions from Friday, November 21.

Baha8217;i celebration

The Baha8217;is of Mumbai celebrated the 180th birth anniversary of their prophet Baha8217;ullah at the Baha8217;i Centre on November 11. The programme was organised by the Local Youth Committee of the Baha8217;is. Chairperson Urvashi Datwani enlightened the audience about the life of Baha8217;ullah, a press-note said.

Surgery course

The Third International Advanced Vitreo Retinal Surgery course is being organised by Aditya Jyot Research Foundation under the aegis of Bombay Opthalmologists Association and Vitreo Retinal Society-India between November 21-23 at the Nehru Science Centre. Presentations on the latest advancements in this specialised form of surgery, including retinal transplant, will be made at the three-day conference.

Drug week

The Lions Club, Bimanagar, Borivli, along with Drug Rehabilitation Centre Seva Dhan, has organised a Drug Awareness Week from November 17-21. The programme will cover 3,500 students of standard ten from 13 schools from Borivli w.

Language classes

The Bombay Adult Education Association will start classes in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu and English. Career courses like stage and screen acting, accountancy,computer fundamentals, catering management, proper investment, palmistry, gemology, income-tax law, modern pathological tests, travel and tourism, among others will also be held once a week from December 8.
