Rehabilitation course by NAB

The Department of Rehabilitation of the National Association for the Blind will be starting a course in rehabilitation on September 4. The course is meant for blind persons who have not received any basic training in rehabilitation. No formal education is required for attending the course, nor are fees charged. A stipend is given to the selected trainees every month.

Age limit is from 18 to 50 years. Free boarding and lodging facilities will also be provided to trainees outside Mumbai. Training on customer service

Excellency Care, a division of Excellency Search 8211; Management Consultants 8211; India, is offering a training programme for job seekers on customer service.

The training programme which is scheduled to take off on August 2, will be of a duration of six weeks. Theprogramme deals with different aspects of customer service like communication skills, customer care, personality development, public speaking, etiquette and grooming, team management and stress management. Weekend course in astronomy

The Extra-Mural Studies of the University of Mumbai is starting its third batch of the Foundation Course in Astronomy from Sunday, August 1. Age or educational qualifications are no bar for the non-formal weekend course. The camp will include lectures, sky-observation trips and visits to TIFR, Nehru Planetarium and Naryangaon, Pune. Workshop on astrology

The Natural Health Club society in Malad has organised a workshop on astrology with a scientific base. The lectures will be held every evening for five days a week between 6 and 10 pm from July 26 onwards.
