Annual Diwali magazine
Activist Ahilya Rangnekar will release Purush Spandana, an annual Diwali magazine published by Men Against Violence & Abuse (MAVA). The magazine contains expressions by men on gender issues, and will be released at the Kashinath Dhuru Auditorium at Dadar (W). This will be followed by a symposium on `Cruelty to girls arising out of infatuation’ in the light of increasing cases of jilted love and gender violence.

Intel’s education programme
Intel today announced the winners (Western zone) of the Intel Inter-school Technology Plan Development Contest. The Kendriya Vidyalaya at IIT, Powai, won the first prize of educational software worth Rs 15,000 followed by Stephen High School for the deaf and aphasic. Intel also rolled out the first of a series of seminars titled “Preparing for success in the Information age”. These are targetted at educationists and aims to provide them with insights on trends that are redefining education worldwide.
