Mukesh Ambani8217;s Reliance Industries bought Harbhajan Singh at the auction window for a whopping US 850,000 but to bid for a decent wicketkeeper-batsman to compete with teams such as Chennai MS Dhoni, Hyderabad Adam Gilchrist, Mohali Kumar Sangakkara and Bangalore Mark Boucher.

Tell this to Reliance officials though and their immediate reaction is, 8220;Sachin Tendulkar will look into it.8221; With US 1.2m still left to spend from their kitty and the space to buy three more foreigners, Tendulkar is likely to initiate talks with Western Australia8217;s Luke Ronchi 8211; the hard-hitting batsman with a T20 strike rate of 176, or with Victoria8217;s Adam Crosthwaite.

IPL matches at DY Patil: Reliance Industries, the owners of Team Mumbai will play host to the two semifinals and final of the IPL.

They have opted for the DY Patil stadium in Nerul, Navi Mumbai to host some of the matches. They could divide the games between the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai and DY Patil, and possibly host a semifinal each at two venues.

PRAVEEN FOR DELHI: All-rounder Praveen Kumar, who is currently busy playing the CB Series in Australia, has been bought by the GMR Group to play for Delhi Daredevils.
