BMC offers more water to Thane

Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Girish Gokhale on Monday said that the BMC was ready to give additional water supply to Thane city provided TMC shared the expenses in the water supply projects of the BMC. Gokhale was speaking at a function organised to release additional 30 MLDs of drinking water to Thane city by the BMC. The Mumbai Mayor Vishakha Raut formally released the water by opening the value of the water pipeline for Thane. Thane Mayor Premisingh Rajput, Thane Municipal Commissioner T Chandrashekar, Thane deputy mayor Harishchandra Yelbar and office bearers were present for the function besides Thane district Shiv Sena chief Anand Dighe.

NDC team visits Mumbai

A team of the prestigious National Defence College (NDC), New Delhi arrived on Tuesday on a three-day visit as part of the naval tour. The team from the highest institution on the strategic matters of defence consists of 90 officers from the army, navy, air force, civil anddiplomatic services and also from the foreign defence forces. On Wednesday, the team will attend a sports fixture in the early morning. The working day will begin with a presentation by Western Naval command and visits to naval dockyard, submarines and submarine simulator.
